Immediately following the recent flood in Ottawa and surrounding areas, District 13-A secured a grant of $5000, from Lions Clubs International Foundation. The moneys were used to purchase cleaning supplies which were delivered to the Distribution Center in Ottawa.

District 13-A also secured a disaster relief grant from the Ohio Lions Foundation. That money is being utilized by the Ottawa Lions to distribute $25 food vouchers to flood victims. This program is currently nearing completion as funding is running out.

The Ottawa Lions have opened the Ottawa Lions Disaster Relief Fund at the Fort Jennings State Bank in Ottawa to continue both of these efforts.

The Lions are also willing to assist in replacement of eyeglasses and prescriptions which were lost in the flood and the costs are not covered by other means. (The Northwest Ohio Lions Eye Care Foundation approved a grant of $500 of their funds to be used in the affected areas.)
