The Ottawa Lions Club is part of Sub-District A of Multiple District 13 (Ohio was the 13th state to have Lions Clubs). The International Association of Lions Clubs was formed in 1917 by Chicago Businessman Melvin Jones. Jones new approach to business organizations involved the need for an individual to expand his horizons beyond purely professional concerns to the betterment of his community and the world at large. From that dream has grown an organization which, today, embraces men and women from all walks of life. What originated as a business club has grown into a way for all of us to give back to our community.
